As we enter our 20th season, we urgently need new Board members to ensure ECC’s continued success and stability. We welcome enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy teamwork, believe in our mission, and are excited to chart the future of our choir.
Next year’s Board will finally be able to plan beyond “Surviving the Covid era,” and shift the focus to “Building back, thriving, and growing.” We have a unique opportunity as a Board to revisit our purpose and goals, re-envision our systems and roles, and recommit to our mission and values. We invite you to be a part of this exciting experience.
We are specifically looking for people with interest and/or skills in any of these areas:
- Graphic Design
- Social media
- Data entry
- Communication/Business writing
- Event planning
We also need members-at-large, and would love for Board members to bring their own areas of interest and enthusiasm.
The commitment includes monthly Board meetings and 2-3 annual strategic planning and budgeting meetings, typically held in May and July. Some Board positions have specific sets of duties that typically average out to around 4-5 hours per month. We would be happy to provide more information and detailed job descriptions for any of these positions.
Open positions for the 2022-23 season include:
- Vice President
- Social Media
New Board members would ideally attend meetings over the summer and would then stand for election at our annual meeting in September. Prospective members who are unable to start until the fall are still welcome to join us.
Please direct any questions to Board President Kathleen Lonergan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
